Android and The Hero

After writing and testing apps on the simulator, it was a absolutely thrilling to see it work on an actual android device.

Got the HTC hero, its absolutely amazing, I am not sure of how the other high end models on win mobile works, but this one is amazing. Got a lot of sensors.

The only unhappy thing about the HTC hero is the camera, will have to see later, if the camera can be corrected with an app. The exposure is pretty bad for a 5MP camera.

The design of the phone is great too, it sits comfortably on the hand, and it has got a smooth rubbery finish on the backside

, which does not slip out of the hand.

Its the brightest screen on a handheld, that I have ever seen (in the showrooms). And the touch UI is too good, (sorry for the lack of inventiveness in the use of adjectives).

First thing, I did was cache google maps and satellite map, so I can use the GPS functionality without 3G or GPRS. And ofcourse download a load of games from market place.
